Refund policy

We want getting dressed to feel easy — and returns should feel that way too. If something isn't quite right, here's everything you need to know.

Online Returns

You have 30 days from your fulfillment date to return eligible items. To be approved for a return, items must be:

  • Unworn, unwashed, and unaltered
  • In original condition with tags attached
  • Swimwear must have the hygienic liner attached
  • Shoes must be unworn and returned in their original box

Final Sale Items

A few things are final sale and cannot be returned:

  • Sale items
  • Gift cards
  • Underwear
  • Swimwear returned without the hygienic liner attached

Head to our Returns Portal by clicking here, and have your order number ready. You'll have two refund options:

Refund to Original Payment Method
A $5.95 return shipping fee will be deducted from your refund.

Refund as Store Credit
Choose store credit and your return shipping label is free. Plus, you'll get the full value back to use on something you'll wear on repeat.

Please note: returns sent without first submitting through the portal can't be processed.

Sending It Back

Once your return request is submitted, please mail your items back within 7 days. After that, the shipping label will expire.

All returns must arrive back to us within 30 days of the fulfillment date. Returns received outside of this timeframe may be refused and returned to sender.

Returning items from multiple orders? Just submit a separate return request for each order and include all packing slips in one package. Easy.

A Few Helpful Notes

  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable
  • Only approved items may be included in your return shipment
  • All returns are inspected once they arrive

If an item appears worn, washed, altered, or damaged, it may not qualify for a refund. If that happens, we'll reach out before sending it back to you.

Our advice? Try things on, keep the tags attached, and make sure you love it first.

Gift Returns

Items returned with a gift receipt will be refunded as a Common Thread gift card.

Prepaid Credit Cards

If you used a prepaid credit card, your refund will go back to that original card — so don't toss it just yet.

If the card is no longer available, we'll issue your refund as a Common Thread gift card instead.

In-Store Returns

In-store purchases may be returned within 30 days of purchase. Items must still be:

  • Unworn and in original condition
  • With tags attached
  • Swimwear with hygienic liner attached
  • Shoes in original box and unworn

Final sale items include sale items, gift cards, and underwear.

Bought it online? Return it in-store. Bought it in-store? Mail it back to us. Whatever's easiest for you.

Return Processing

Once your return arrives, please allow 1–3 business days for processing. You'll receive an email confirmation as soon as it's complete.

After that, refunds typically appear within 3–5 business days depending on your bank.

Exchanges

We don't currently offer direct exchanges. If you'd like a different size or style, simply return your item and place a new order.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If something is damaged, defective, or incorrect, email us right away and we'll make it right.
