Our own label, cut to go with everything else on the floor
We started making our own pieces for a simple reason. There were gaps we couldn't fill by buying, particularly in the plain, hardworking pieces women reach for most.
How we design it
- Every piece has to work with at least three things already on our floor. If it only goes with itself, we don't make it.
- We cut for the body most of our customers actually have, not the one on a fit model.
- Fabric comes before print. Prints sell once. Fabric brings people back.
What moves fastest
The Common Collection basics are what our own stylists wear to work, which is the only endorsement we trust. The pieces that move fastest are always the classic ones.
What is the Common Collection?
It's Shop Common Thread's own label, designed by us and sold only in our two Orange County stores and online. It exists to fill the gaps in a wardrobe rather than to chase a season, which is why the pieces are cut to mix with everything else we carry. We make what we couldn't find. That's the whole idea.
